About me
With approximately 40 years of experience in the building industry, including rural, industrial, and predominantly residential projects, Stephen possess extensive knowledge of construction.
He is well equipped to provide preparation advice for successfully selling your property.
Originally a self-employed bricklayer in northern England, Stephen’s love for travel led him to spend six months in New Zealand, where he fell in love with the country’s beauty and freedom.
In the early 1980s, Stephen emigrated and settled in Putaruru. There, he established his own small building contracting business serving local residential, rural and commercial sectors.
Driven by a strong desire to contribute to the community, Stephen joined Kiwanis in the late 1980s and later became a volunteer with St John Ambulance in 1994, qualifying as an ICO then Paramedic in 2002. Although he continued working in construction until 2008, his passion for ambulance work, eventually led him to become a full-time officer based in Putaruru.
In 2013 Stephen moved to Tirau, extensively renovated his home and joined the Tirau Volunteer Fire Brigade, further immersing himself in local community involvement.
While still being involve with St John. Stephen is dedicated to his real estate career, having obtained his license in February 2020. Stephen’s interactions with clients—whether selling or buying—has been a very rewarding experience. Stephen is dedicated to achieving the best financial outcome for vendors through strong negotiation skills, large data base and total honesty.
